It’s true that a picture is worth a thousand words—but it can only tell part of the story. Behind every fabulous home remodel photo is the real thing. And that real-home experience is what visitors got when they visited the 2015 NARI Remodeled Homes Tour the last weekend in September.
For our team at Dover, that was one of the most rewarding things about being part of this first-ever Tour event: It gave visitors the opportunity to see our handiwork— and to touch it and actually feel it. There’s really nothing like being there in-person when you’re talking about the feeling and engaging atmosphere created in a home.
In our case, the homeowner was gracious enough to make herself available during the Tour to show guests through the home and answe
r questions. A few of our current Dover customers came through to get an even better feel for our quality craftsmanship and to chat with our designers. And we also met a lot of prospective customers, too.
While I haven’t received any final attendance tallies from NARI, the Tour was a success in our eyes. There was steady traffic in the home throughout the weekend. We made some new connections and showcased our work—which was very favorably received. It was rewarding to have some of our competitors tour the home, and then come back again to bring their spouses. When you get that affirmation from your peers, that’s when you know you got it right!
Our Dover team is honored to have been a part of this exciting first-annual event. We think it’s the beginning of something very special in the Cleveland home remodeling market.
