Every Dover project follows seven defined steps. The first is a consultation with your designer to shape the project around your goals and budget. From there: design, written pricing, material selection at our showroom as well as our selected vendors’ showrooms, scheduling and an on-site pre-construction meeting, construction, and a final quality check. Yes. One dedicated designer stays with you from your first appointment through the final walkthrough. The person who sketches your design is the person you call during the build. A construction superintendent handles day-to-day work on site, but your designer remains your main point of contact the entire way.
Design-build means you do not hire an architect, designer and separate contractor and then coordinate between them. Dover handles design, material selection, construction and final installation under one team and one signed agreement. The coordination is the most stressful part of remodeling. We take that off your plate.
Every project is different. A bathroom remodel and a whole-home renovation are not the same timeline, and the design phase depends on scope. Once your designer has scoped your project with you, you will receive a realistic timeline in writing before construction begins and updates if anything in that schedule shifts.
Older homes hold surprises. If we open a wall and find something that affects scope or cost, you hear about it from your designer first. We walk you through the options and document the change in writing. Work only moves forward once you have approved the next step.

We complete a final walkthrough with you, your designer and superintendent. Any punch list items are addressed before the job is considered closed. After that, you have our 40-plus-year track record behind the work. Many Dover clients call us back for the next phase of their home, sometimes years later.
