This final post picks up where I left off last week, moving from the beautiful new kitchen into the adjacent remodeled living spaces…
In my first post, I outlined the demolition of the existing screened porch, which provided the foundation for the inviting new family room and the larger, open-concept kitchenspace.
FAMILY ROOM: A gas fireplace flanked with custom built-ins is the focal point of the new family room. Plenty of windows and a full-light exterior door shed natural light throughout the kitchen, family room and dining room. Inviting furnishings complete the open-concept space.
DINING ROOM: The single-doorway opening from the kitchen into the dining room was widened, and a second opening was added into the new family room. New oak flooring was toothed into the dining room to unify the rooms and create the free-flowing living space the homeowners had envisioned.

MUD ROOM: We created a modern, functional mud room using custom cabinetry, a storage bench and coat hooks, taking advantage of every inch of space in the original narrow mud room. Packed with loads of easy organizing and storage capacity, this beautiful room scores big on practical style.

BATHROOM: The original dated half bath was transformedin high-style fashion. A custom white vanity and radiator cover are topped with marble. The homeowners selected the sink (Kohler, Caxton) with a faucet from Restoration Hardware for a classic-yet-contemporary look.
The rich navy blue walls are a dramaticcontrast to the white trim. Burnished brass accessories and a foil papered ceiling add a touch of bling.
