Spa-inspired Master Bath

With their three children grown and out on their own, this couple found themselves at a crossroads: Move from their longtime home or stay and overhaul their dated master bathroom—the one room in the house they could no longer live with.

They worked with Dover Home Remodelers to give the old space new life—a project that earned Dover 1st place honors in the prestigious NARI Contractor of the Year (CotY) Awards 2019 for Residential Bathroom Remodel ($100,001 – $250,000).

She wanted a Zen, spa-like sanctuary. He wanted a modern, high-tech relaxation space. This new master bathroom checks all the boxes with features like a steam shower with chromo-therapy, an illuminated and scented toilet seat, sleek custom cabinetry, and a shapely freestanding tub. It also includes a stunning new entryway leading from the master bedroom complete with a custom closet built for two.

The Design Phase:

With its choppy layout and separate doors closing off the toilet and sauna, this spacious bathroom felt cramped. The new design opens the room, creating better flow and maximizing square footage.
