The Design Phase:

With its choppy layout and separate doors closing off the toilet and sauna, this spacious bathroom felt cramped. The new design opens the room, creating better flow and maximizing square footage.

Dark cherry trim and crown molding is used throughout the entire home and is carried through into the new space. The dark trim creates crisp, clean lines that beautifully frame the new bathroom and entryway.

The custom frameless vanity with glass towers and hidden charging stations offer convenient storage and eliminate counter clutter. Modern and at the forefront of technology, it features a customizable medicine cabinet with integrated LED lighting from Robern AiO. The rounded rectangular vessel sink from Kohler^® (Vox^®) softens the sleek lines of the faucet (Kohler Loure^®) and matches the rounded edge of the quartz countertop.

The skirted European-design toilet (Kohler Persuade^®) features a heated, scented seat.

The sleek freestanding tub (Kohler Veil^® Lithocast) strikes a balance between clean lines and shapely design. The simple silhouette conveys contemporary style, while the graceful curve lends a hint of softness, satisfying both a masculine and feminine touch.

The state-of-the art custom steam shower by Steamist offers a range of pampering options including a chromo-therapy light controlled by a digital touch pad that blends modern convenience and function with sleek styling. A 10″ square rainmaker showerhead by Jaclo creates the total spa experience.

The clean white tile adds texture with a soft wave while the gray and beige pebbled floor and accents from Emser (Venetian Silver Mosaic Flat Pebbles) tie into the rich wood throughout the room, for an organic, natural feel.

The new bathroom provides functional storage with pullouts in the vanity and a custom bench that features a warm cherry finish that echoes the trim.

The Entry Hallway and Master Closet: Before & After

The old, dark entry hallway leading to the new bathroom from the master bedroom needed a major facelift.

The design goal was to create seamless harmony between the two spaces. Now, the light, airy entranceway flows effortlessly from the master bedroom into the serene new bathroom space.

A subtle arched opening perfectly frames the entrance to the tranquil, spa-inspired master bathroom.

The new design converted separate “his” and “hers” walk-in closets into one large, shared closet / dressing space. A custom closet system tailors the space to the homeowners’ exact needs, providing neat, adjustable rows of shelves to accommodate flats, heels and boots with ease, as well as a spacious center island.

Stanton New Era carpeting mixes a modern yet traditional pattern to unify the contemporary bathroom with the existing traditional décor in the master bedroom.
