BLOG #1 of 3 IN A SERIES:
A high-style master bathroom transformation
If there’s anything better than a happy customer, it’s a repeat happy customer. That’s what made this project extra-special: This master bathroom renovation was for a previous client (a 2019 CotY award-winning project) which allowed our team to be part of the second phase of her home transformation. On this project, we worked together to check off a few more items on her wish list, with the master bathroom flagged as a top priority.
The outdated bathroom with its sunken tub, turquoise fixtures and wallpaper, was ready for a makeover. We gave the room a facelift and a fresh start that includes a double vanity, heated floors and an oversized step-down shower with dual showerheads and beautiful custom tilework.
To help you envision the space we were working with: the existing bathroom had a Jack-and-Jill configuration, sitting between the two front bedrooms. It had a large sunken tub, cramped layout and outdated fixtures. The homeowner wanted to create a true “master” by closing off one entrance to the bathroom and reimaging the existing space to create a private, well-appointed bathroom retreat; and eliminate an unused hallway bathroom to add a walk-in closet. The design drawing below shows how we reconfigured the space.
