It happened again this year: the holidays just seemed to creep up on us when we weren’t looking—just like the shockingly early snowfall. So with Thanksgiving almost here, I’ve decided not to worry about preparation and to-do lists and just enjoy spending time with friends and family.
This season more than at any other time, most of us make the time to stop and reflect about all of the good things in our lives for which we have to be thankful. For all of us at Dover, we are incredibly grateful for our customers who have made our business what it is: Without you, we wouldn’t be so happy and successful in doing what we love every day. For that, we are incredibly fortunate.
When I asked our team, they shared in that same sentiment—and offered these thoughts, as well:
I’m thankful for family, friends and good health. – Jason Fleming
I’m thankful for being able to spend time with my family when so many members of our military cannot, especially those in harm’s way. – Jim Bartell
I am thankful for my health, my family’s health, my family and friends and not having to suffer when watching the Browns and Cavs. – Al Brown
I am thankful for celebrating two first birthdays for my two granddaughters this year and for the busy year we are having at Dover. I hope everyone at Dover has had a good year and for everyone to have a joyful holiday season. – Bob Standen
Thankful for my family, health, our service men and women and to live in this country The United States of America. – Dan McDermott
I am thankful for family, good health, and new opportunities—family as the foundation of my life, good health that enables me to pursue things I want to do, and new opportunities that afford me growth and inspiration. – Chika Aizu
For me, I am beyond grateful for the most wonderful and exciting year of my life. It wasn’t enough that I got to marry my amazing husband; but to be able to share every moment with my friends and family truly felt like it was a dream. My wish for all of you is that you’re able to spend Thanksgiving weekend feasting with the ones you love. Because beyond the shopping lists and the preparation,
that’s what this special season is all about. Enjoy!
The Best Is Yet To Come,
Beth Orr
