2020: The year in review.
To say that 2020 has been a year unlike any other is an understatement. But just because it’s been different, and oftentimes difficult, doesn’t mean it’s been all bad.
While we completely shut down our home remodeling operations for seven weeks during the pandemic, we can’t help but be thankful for all of the opportunities that this past year has afforded us and our team at Dover.
We’re choosing to focus on the good stuff—and really, there was plenty of that to go around. Here are some of the highlights:
Our team was honored with four NARI CoTY Awards—we’re so proud to be recognized for the great design and quality craftmanship that is truly a Dover signature. We were honored to be recognized with the following awards this year:
- Second place, Kitchen Renovation: $100,001 – $150,000
- Second place, Kitchen Renovation: $60,001 – $100,000
- Honorable Mention, Residential Interior: Under $100,000
We were fortunate to be able to help those in need in our community. Thanks to our clients, Dover Home Remodelers made our bi-annual donation to the Cleveland Food Bank and also donated funds this year to two additional local charities: Trials 4 Hope which helps address the physical, emotional, spiritual and psychological challenges that people who live in poverty face every day; and the Cleveland Animal Protective League which provides life-saving programs and services for Northeast Ohio’s homeless animals.
We celebrated growth from within: Tom Murdoch was promoted from carpenter to superintendent.
Our team welcomed a host of incredible talent including new designer Angie Hambach; John Rosser, Tyler Manco, Dan Duelley, Sam Hauck and Ian Holian joined our production team.
The Browns keep winning! Can we all just take a moment to reflect on and appreciate that?
Again, we feel blessed and grateful that we have been able to work through the challenges that this year has thrown at all of us. Like you, we’re looking forward to 2021 and hopefully, to getting back to some sort of normal.
We wish you and your families all the best for a happy, healthy holiday surrounded by those you love. Bring on 2021!
The Best Is Yet To Come,
Jim, Eileen & Beth
