Whether you were downtown this past weekend for the Home Expo, for after-work happy hour or for NCAA March Madness at The Q—if you were out and about in Cleveland, you could feel the buzz and energy swirling around our bustling city.
Over at the convention center for the Cleveland Home + Remodeling Expo, we saw Friday night starting out a bit slow, but then the following morning there were hundreds of people lined up waiting to get inside. Chip and Joanna Gaines from HGTV were the big draw: Both of their shows on Saturday were packed as they talked about their ideas for making your house feel like a home.
Our team at Dover took about double the amount of leads this year as we did last year—and the Expo itself seemed to be double in size, as well. Our designers answered lots of questions and chatted with potential customers about their exciting new project ideas.
The Butterfly House was a large draw.
There was just a good vibe downtown all the way around. As exhibitors, we agreed that the convention center is a great draw because it’s new and squeaky-clean—and with the size and scope of the show, people can make a full day of the Home Expo experience. With the recent downtown revival, people just want to be there and be a part of it.
It’s an exciting time to be in Cleveland!
The best is yet to come,
