The ultimate retreat: A spa-inspired, high-tech master bathroom that engages all the senses
Picking up where I left off last week…
With a gorgeous designer bathroom in the works, it was even more evident that the old, dark entry hallway leading from the master bedroom to the bath needed a major update!
Before:
Our design goal was to create seamless harmony between the two spaces. Now, the light, airy entranceway flows effortlessly from the master bedroom into the serene new bathroom space.
After:
We converted separate “his” and “hers” walk-in closets into one large shared closet space. A custom closet system allowed us to tailor the space to the homeowners’ exact needs, providing neat, adjustable rows of shelves to accommodate flats, heels and boots with ease. A spacious center island adds extra storage and completes the space.
Before:
After:
Merging the closets allowed us to eliminate an awkward hall crowded with too many doors. Brightening up the formerly dark corridor with the installation of a single pocket door with obscure glass enabled the light from the adjacent hallway window to shine into the closet while maintaining privacy.
A subtle arched opening perfectly frames the entrance to the tranquil, spa-inspired space.
Get ready for the bathroom transformation next week!
