This Tour features remodeling trends only—no new-builds. So if you’re looking for inspiration for your own home renovation projects, this is the event for you. Dover is part of the Tour again this year, which features 11 homes in nine different cities throughout Northeast Ohio.
Our featured design is a whole-house renovation in Westlake. This home is the second project we’ve completed for these homeowners. We did work for them 17 years ago when they had two kids. Now a busy family of 6, they bought this 4,867-sq.-ft. home, which had plenty of space, but lacked flow and design consistency. More than anything, they wanted a space that was sophisticated and pulled together, yet functional—a must for their busy lifestyle.
The biggest design challenge was the kitchen. The before and after photos show all the appliances were awkwardly grouped together on one end of the room, and two separate hallways made the space feel disjointed.
Our new design closed off the doorways and opened up walls, creating a large, open-concept kitchen that flows effortlessly into the adjoining great room.
This project also features two rehabbed fireplaces, a dramatic master bathroom with a custom shower room, a mudroom with unique amenities and more. You’ll have to see it yourself!
