Most homeowners are not looking for more complexity during a remodel. That is why Dover brings structure early, so your goals, pricing, and selections are clear before work begins. Design, construction, and our Floor & Tile Center showroom all sit under one accountable roof, so you choose materials with the same team that installs them.

Here is how each phase works.

STEP 1

Your Vision, In Focus

Define your project

The first step is defining the project. Say you are remodeling your bathroom: are you after more space or simply an updated look? Do you already have pictures or design ideas in mind? Once we understand what you want and what your budget allows, we walk your space together and give you an initial price range before anything moves forward.

STEP 2

Design Around Your Budget

Turn Ideas Into a Plan

Your budget shapes the plan, but it should not limit it. Some projects need a deeper design phase, and that starts with a signed design-build agreement. From there we measure the space thoroughly, turn your ideas into the sketches, and build out a full design with you before pricing moves forward. If your project is more straightforward, we move directly into a detailed written proposal.

STEP 3

Your Project Agreement

Review and Approve

Once your plan is finalized, whether that came from a full design or straight from your initial price range, we prepare a detailed proposal that outlines the specific work to be done together with a written quote for the exact work involved. Nothing moves forward without your approval. Once you sign off, we handle permits and scheduling, so the project starts on solid footing, with your investment fully documented.

STEP 4

Every Choice, Fully Supported

Fine-Tune the Details

Before construction begins, you finalize every product, material, and fixture with our project designer guiding each decision. You can see, touch, and compare options in person at the Dover Floor & Tile Center showroom, so nothing is left to guesswork. Settling these details up front keeps the work continuous and the project on schedule and on budget, without last-minute surprises.

STEP 5

Everything You Need Before Day One

Meet On-Site

Before the first tool comes out, we sit down with you in your home to walk through exactly what happens next. You get your start and completion dates in writing, and we talk through the everyday details from how we access your home when you’re out to keeping pets safe once work begins, so nothing catches you off guard.

STEP 6

A Final Quality Check

Identify and Address Open Items

As the work nears the completion stage, our Construction Manager walks the space with you to review everything done so far. Together you note anything still open or needing attention, and that list becomes the plan for wrapping things up, usually within a week. It is how we make sure the details are right before we call the project complete.

STEP 7

Project Completion

Enjoy the Result

This is the moment it was all for. The space you pictured months ago is now the one you live in, and it fits the way your home already feels. Our crew handles the smallest final touches with the same care they brought to day one. When you walk through and it feels right, completely yours, then our work is done.
