The homeowner’s main charge was to add a bedroom in the basement. To alleviate the dark- tunnel feel of the existing stairway, the new design opened up the wall common to the family room and installed wrought iron railing to match the existing stairs to the second floor.
Egress windows existed, thus the logical place to design the bedroom. The remodel progressed to also include a functional kitchen, media room, play room and bathroom. The square footage and design incorporated four flat screens for entertainment. A small window at ground level was treated with a handcrafted stained glass made by a local artesian and custom lighting was installed to create a magnificent and unique work of art.
