Tired of the outdated, cramped kitchen, the homeowner wanted a more open and functional space. A structural wall was removed between the dated kitchen and sunroom. Next, the sink and stove were flip-flopped so the sink could face the bright sunroom.
New granite countertops extended to accommodate four barstools, expanding the entertaining area. Glass wall cabinets were selected to match the home’s craftsman style. One of the two hall doorways was framed in with corner space added for open shelving and the newly finished hardwood floors contrast interestingly with white cabinetry for a clean, crisp effect. An old rear door was removed and replaced with a Frenchwood gliding door for an attractive entry to the new kitchen.
